Gas on your Cheerios? Gas is once again cheaper than milk, but we don’t recommend petrol on your cheerios as a way to save this holiday season! The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline fell below $2 this week…for the first time since 2009! Milk, on the other hand, is still in the $3 - $3.50 range. On a per ounce basis, as of December 17th, the only commonly purchased liquid cheaper than gasoline was water. Starbucks coffee, on the other hand, was 7 times as expensive as gas.
