When Matt isn’t rocking finance on the radio, he’s working at Wela. He is a founding partner and CEO for this digital financial advisory service that launched in 2014. He focuses on helping users and clients make better financial decisions based on their current financial situation. He also coordinates the Investment Committee and translates the decisions made by this team into the trades and allocation adjustments within the Wela Strategies ETF Models.
When not actively working with clients and users, Matt also writes for the Wela blog and hosts The Wela Show Podcast which features weekly guests talking about their financial journey. He taps into his knowledge and resources as a Certified Financial Planner™ and CFA charterholder to help breakdown the complicated world of finance into an easy-to-understand format.
When not at the office you can find him with his wife and dog on the lake, on the golf course, or coaching his little league baseball team. An avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, you can also typically find him in Athens on Saturdays during the football season.
Eddie’s deep tone was made for radio, but his first passion is finance. As the go-to-guy at Wela, he’s able to exercise his love for finance by helping clients achieve their financial goals by providing independent, research-driven investment strategies and financial advice.
Always eager to help others build a similar passion for finance, Eddie works with Wela users to provide guidance and clarity for their particular financial situation whether by chatting with them or by sending over a game plan. When not working one-on-one to grow other’s financial foundation, he’s oftentimes writing blogs to help those who are trying to navigate the tall weeds of finance.
As a graduate of the University of Georgia, he’s passionate about the Terry College of Business, having spent three years serving on the Young Alumni Board, and of course, Georgia football. As a season ticket holder, you can find him in Sanford Stadium on Saturdays in the fall. Eddie and his wife live in Brookhaven with their 1-year old English Golden Retriever named EB, and are members of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. When he’s not building Wela, spending time with his family or giving back to the community, you can rest assured he’ll be on the golf course.
