Home Depot, Facebook & Others Fail Employees Drastically different, but eerily similar at the same time. Both companies dominate their respective sectors, but both seem to give minimal weight to their 401K plans as a piece of employee retention. In a recent ranking Facebook came in last and Home Depot was not far from the bottom in regards to how generously companies contribute to employees' 401k plans. We Thought The Target Breach Was Bad… Ha! New Target CEO, Brian Cornell, has to be jumping in joy… very selfishly, though. The security breach on his company is old news after this week's report that 1.2 billion (with a B) username and password combinations have been stolen from large and small websites. The actors are also very happy. After renegotiating the contracts, the lead actors are now reaping salaries not seen since the days of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross. Reports have some salaries around $1 million per episode… and they have 24 episodes a season! Nerdy just became really cool! Read More

Atlanta takes the crown... of shame A few extra beers may be on tap for the Atlanta faithful this weekend, and not for a good reason. After missing the top spot last year by the skin of our teeth, Atlanta has officially been ranked the worst sports city in America by Forbes. They call the Braves perennial bridesmaids! Well, I just cut costs in my budget since I cancelled my Forbes subscription! Read More
