We often get asked questions about Wela like: What is it? Why do you give out free advice? How do you make money? We have now compiled all these questions into our Frequently Asked Questions page on the website! Here is a quick breakdown of some of our most popular questions:
What does Wela mean? Wela is an old English word for wealth. We chose this name because the word wealth can be intimidating. Just like our name, Wela simplifies wealth. We are here to simplify investing and help everyone build wealth.
What is Wela’s goal? Wela specializes in working with people who seek top-level financial advice, but don’t want to deal with the high minimum investment amounts that most financial firms require. We offer free financial assessment tools and advice, helping you take your financial future into your own hands. Wela is founded on the idea that everyone can invest. We want to be sure that when you invest you have the tools and information to do so to the best of your ability.
How does Wela make money? Wela makes money when our users don’t have the time or energy to invest their own money and would rather have us manage their money for them. We charge a small fee based on the assets we manage. There is no pressure to move from a free account to a paid account, so don’t worry about getting sold anything. We simply take the burden off those who want our help. See “How Much Does Wela Cost” to learn all the details.
How do I open an account with Wela? Opening an account is completely free. We just ask for your email address and some general information about your finances. When we ask you for personal financial information, it’s simply for us to better assist you, not to ask for your credit card information.
To sign up, you simply click the “Try Wela” button in the upper right part of the navigation, and fill out the form. Once you have filled out the form, we will just need some basic financial information to help get the tools prepared to give you the best suggestions possible.
